EMU Academician Educates Young Leaders in Macedonia

Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Faculty of Communication academic staff member and Institutional Communication, Social Media and Web Office Coordinator Dr. Raziye Nevzat delivered education on Digital Marketing and Social Media at The School for Young Leaders in Macedonia. Dr. Raziye Nevzat attended the education program that took place between the 27th of August and 1st of September 2018 upon invitation from the Republic of Macedonia Presidency.

The School for Young Leaders is a project of the President of the Republic of Macedonia Dr. Gjorge Ivanov which was initiated following his idea and vision to enable the young, talented and ambitious people from Macedonia to upgrade and improve their skills, to develop their creativity and managerial capacities. This years’ School for Young Leaders is the ninth of its kind.

“I am Happy and Proud”

Expressing that she is proud to have received an invitation from the Republic of Macedonia Presidency and happy to be sharing her experiences with young people, Dr. Nevzat indicated that participants were very satisfied with the education they received. Relaying that she had the opportunity to meet with President Dr. Gjorge Ivanov in his office Dr. Nevzat noted that they carried out a conversation regarding education as well as the positive and negative effects of digitalization.

“Education is Provided by Experts from All Over the World”

In eight years, approximately 320 young people from all over the country and abroad received education at the School which was organized for the first time in August 2010 in Ohrid. Those who participated in the School did so with the aim of developing their leadership skills and talents in different academic and professional fields. The mission of the School is to stimulate the positive values of the young intellectual elite and future political, cultural and economic leaders of the country and moreover to develop their capacities to take on the challenges which have emerged with global technologies, international competition and cultural as well as religious diversities. The program includes lectures and training delivered by experts from all over the world in the fields of leadership and management. The vision of the School for Leaders is to be a training center with high standards and a responsibility for integration of the modern political, scientific and technological knowledge and skills, based on respect for the basic human values.
