Eastern Mediterranean University Engineering Faculty Hosted a Seminar on “Data Science”

Eastern Mediterranean University Engineering Faculty hosted a seminar by Dr. Ulaş Bardak, who is currently employed at Whispertext in the USA.

During the seminar Dr. Ulaş Bardak stated that data science refers to the extraction of knowledge from data in a fast and effective way. Dr. Ulaş Bardak also provided information on the basics of "Data Science", the employment opportunities created within the field, and the areas "Data Science" is currently applied.

Dr. Bardak explained that the need for processing and conducting an analysis of data in the digital world has emerged in the age of technology. Dr. Bardak also put forth that due to the size of the data created by the current number of Internet users, which is a total of 2.4 billion, informatics solutions have become conventionally insufficient.
