EMU Graduate Delivers a Seminar on “Airline Pricing Strategies”

Within the framework of the "International Career Week", Air France –KLM Pricing and Revenue Executive Caner Ertetik presented information on "Load Factor, Pricing and Strategies in Airlines" in a seminar organised by Eastern Mediterranean University, Engineering Faculty, Industrial Engineering Department.

During the first part of his speech, Caner Ertetik provided information on Air France and KLM as well as their merger which took place 10 years ago. Ertetik explained the philosophy, targets, routes, load rates, and pricing strategies of the firm as well as the ever increasing number of passengers and competition among airlines. The seminer attracted a crowded group of participants, who asked various questions on benefiting from campaigns when buying tickets online. At the end of the seminar, Caner Ertetik was presented a plaque of appreciation by EMU Industrial Engineering Department Chair Assist. Prof. Dr. Gökhan İzbırak.

Who is Caner Ertetik?

Born on 11 July 1987, Caner Ertetik graduated from EMU Industrial Engineering Program in 2010. Following his graduation, Ertetik worked at Vodafone for 2 years and in Silkline International in Shangai, China for a year. Following the completion of his military service, Caner Ertetik has been working at Air France – KLM Airlines as the Pricing and Revenue Executive since January 2015.
