An education project has been started by the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Computer Center Directorate and the Department of Telecommunication operating under the TRNC Ministry of Public Works and Transport. In line with the request of the Department of Telecommunication, the Cisco Routing and Switching (Cisco CCNA R&S) technical education certification program aimed towards department personnel which commenced on 4th of June 2018 will be continuing until August 2018.
Within the scope of the program, Department of Telecommunication engineers are receiving education on all networks, routing and switching technologies, scalable structures and connectable networks from EMU’s “Cisco Certified Excellent Instructors” Yusuf Küçük and Doğuş Sarıca. The technologies are being demonstrated with IPv4 and IPv6 applications. At the end of the program participants will be presented Cisco Systems expertise certificates.
Releasing a statement on the project, EMU Computer Center Directorate Section Chief and Cisco Certified Excellence instructor Yusuf Küçük indicated that those who participate in the project will be eligible to receive a %61 reduction in the exam fee from the Global Industry Exam Center and the rest of the fee will be sponsored by Cisco Systems. Küçük highlighted that Department of Telecommunication engineers will therefore obtain global education and industry expert certificates.
EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam stated that he is proud see that Computer Center Directorate and Department of Telecommunication instructors and course participants all graduated from EMU. Prof. Dr. Osam also highlighted that they aim to carry out similar practices with other government institutions.
The Cisco Routing and Switching certificate program is one of the most preferred data network education programs in the world. EMU provides Information Technology Industry experts in the TRNC and other countries in the region Networking, Security, IoT, OS&IT, Programming, Business and Digital Literacy education programs.
EMU also provides service as a Cisco Networking Academy Support Center, Instructor Training Center and Education Center. In addition, EMU is a Pearson Vue global industry exam center.
