EMU Continues to Rank Higher in the 2022 U.S. News & World Report World’s Best Universities Rankings

Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) has been ranked 945th in the 2022 U.S. News & World Report World's Best Universities Rankings. In the said rankings which have been published for 8 years, EMU was ranked 1,148th last year. Although 250 new universities have been added to the list this year, EMU once again managed to achieve higher. EMU's successful rise in world university rankings draws attention.

The list, in which universities from 90 countries have been evaluated, measures the academic research performance as well as global and local prestige of universities with 13 different indicators. According to the list announced by the U.S. News & World Report, ranking the best universities in the world for over 30 years, EMU has become the 246th best university in the Asian Continent, whilst co-ranking in the 15th place with Sabancı University in Turkey. A total of 45 universities from Turkey have been included in the list.

Ranks 1st in the TRNC 

In the 2022 U.S. News & World Report's World's Best Universities Rankings held this year, two universities from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) have been included in the list. EMU ranks first among these universities. Throughout Cyprus, three universities have been included in the list.

While EMU ranks 167th in the regional research reputation in the said ranking, the university has been announced as the world's 901st university in terms of international cooperation and the 25th best university in the region.
